WAB organizes annual service-related spring break trips for students. In the past, students have traveled to rural parts of South Dakota, Oklahoma, Florida, and South Carolina. Students have also volunteered in urban settings including Washington D.C., New Orleans, Charleston, and Boston. Past service projects include tutoring with HeadStart, participating in an environmental clean-up, working with City Year, serving in homeless shelters, and helping with hurricane relief efforts. During the 7-10 days of volunteering, the group also has the opportunity to explore the city and community.
