VSC plans a variety of special one-time programs that provide opportunities for the entire Wake Forest community come together in service. Most of these events are large, annual events that require lots of volunteers in order for the event to be a success. Not only is this a great way to meet Wake Forest students, faculty & staff, but the events also enable volunteers to work with a variety of community members and serve a variety of needs. Thank You to Food Lion for Supporting Project Pumpkin!

Thank you to Food Lion for generously supporting Project Pumpkin 2009!  Food Lion contributed several hundred dollars worth of candy and apples that were given out during the event to the 1000+ children that attended.  In addition, a group of District and Store Managers from the Winston-Salem area participated in the event by hosting a booth where they handed out additional snacks.  It was also a special treat to have the Food Lion mascot also at the event to greet the children! Thank you again, Food Lion, for your commitment to Project Pumpkin!  We look forward to working with you again in the future!
